Lots of famous people ride Fridays – Phil Liggett, voice of the Tour de France; Lance Armstrong's personal chiropractor, former Olympian Dr. Jeff Spencer; Ed Pavelka, co-founder of RoadBikeRider.com. Entertainers Dick Smothers and Tracy Chapman ...
But – latest news, The GalfromDownunder recently found herself in a more distant place and time than ever before, and in the company of perhaps the most famous Friday owner of all – the great teller of parables and beacon of moral inspiration – Jesus of Nazareth. What a surprise!
What does Jesus Drive? And he rides a Bike Friday. Yes, that's it – now we know what Jesus drives.
Also quite to her surprise, this GalfromDownunder discovered that Jesus was hardly any taller than little 5 foot zero inch me! Must have something to do with nutrition in the ancient world, reminding me of my travels in Cuba and Mexico. But He was a perfect fit to His Petite Tourlite Crusoe!
I asked Him how He managed to acquire a Bike Friday almost 2000 years before the first one was built.
He stretched out His hands toward me, palms-up, as if about to let out with a a sermon – but then He raised His eyebrows and shrugged His shoulders.
"Lynette, if I could multiply those loaves and fishes, restore sight to the blind ... piece of cake!"
The Gal takes the cake. Then He closed His right hand, and reopened it, and ... it held a piece of cake. "Take it!" He said. I hesitated, noting the raw wound in the palm of His hand.
"Go ahead, it's kosher," He said. "No milk," and He smiled, with a little laugh. I thanked Him and took the cake. A hungry traveling Gal can't be too particular when food is offered.
While I chewed, Jesus gestured toward the bike, and remarked: "And while you're here, I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to praise a good product, made by people with a sound spiritual outlook."
Cake stuck momentarily in my throat. Whoa! I thought. Your Customer Evangelist can just step aside now – our Evangelist Customer speaks for Himself!

I still don't know how I got to that special time and place, or got back, but you have my account, and you may make of it what you will... - Lynette
